Bagged or Loose Leaves: What Should You Prepare?
Compare containment options for dry leaves, wet leaves and grass clippings.

Bags and bins establish a count. A loose pile needs dimensions and may spread before pickup. Ask what container types the service accepts before buying or filling them.
Keep wet material separate
Wet leaves and fresh grass compact and weigh more than dry material. Tell the provider about moisture instead of estimating from the visible pile alone.
Watch what gets swept in
Rocks, pet waste, food, soil, glass and household garbage do not become yard debris because they are inside a leaf bag. Remove those items and use the appropriate waste route.
Photograph the whole group
Show every bag or bin in one wide image, then add a close image if the material is unusually wet or mixed with twigs. Include steps and carry distance.
